CentOS 5.11 Upgrade Leaves System Unbootable under Hyper-V

I'm using CentOS 5.11 and LIS 4.0 with Hyper-V 2012 R2.

Unfortunately mkinitrd method doesn't work for me. I'm able to boot into 308 version kernel, but newer kernels fail with kernel panic.

Any solution to this?

I've solved this by installing kernel-lt from elrepo.org
