Login Window

Post by dukeman » 2015/07/21 18:06:57

Hi,
I have a question about configuring my login window. I am using the linux box to control an instrument and will have many user accounts to be set up. My question is how to configure the login window such that it will ask a user to type in his/her user name and password. Right now, I have too many user accounts displaying on the login window and I don't want it that way.

Thanks for your insight in advance.

What version of CentOS are you using? You posted in the CentOS 5 section but from your description, it sounds more like you are running CentOS 7. If that's the case, just post back and one of us will move the topic to the correct forum.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
