What is the latest version of CentOS that will run on a 32 bit machine?

You can try http://mirror.centos.org/altarch/7.2.1511/isos/i386/

Whether it actually runs on your machine depends on driver support and such issues. It may be easiest to just try and see.

CentOS 6 also has a 32 bit version and that's supported until 2020.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
