flash content crashing centos

Post by dips0502 » 2007/06/11 11:14:15

I am using centos 5.0 i386. I installed the latest flash player from adobe website for linux. When I try to play a swf file ( its a Linux CBT cd ) the whole system stops responding. Nothing works, the keyboard doesnt respond, the mouse too doesnt respond. In fact the OS reboots after like 4 to 5 seconds. I have updated firefox as per your repository. Even Konqueror responds the same way. Please help

You need to provide some details, like the system specifications and such.

Could be a DMA issue or a memory issue or a video issue or?????

Its an Amd 3000 proc, 939 pin, 1 GB DDR ram, Nvidia agp 8x card GeForce 6200, 80 GB PATA drive.
Additionally in Opera the flash content doesnt hang the PC, just throws up a grey screen. If i use the adobe flash plugin 7.0 it plays in both the browsers without causing the comp to hang but then i hv the pic and the sound out of sync.
