core dumps in CentOS 5.5 Final
I have done numerous searches and ran countless tests using suggestions found on these forums and on the web but to no avail. How in the world do I get programs to core dump? The program in question is the Trend Micro Deep Security agent. This program runs as root and when I 'sudo' to root and run a 'ulimit -a' it shows me that the core file size is unlimited and my /proc/sys/kernel/core_pattern is set to 'core.%e.%p' however if I run a 'kill -SIGABRT ' then no core file is created in the running directory. What gives?!?! Any help on this would be GREATLY appreciated.
