Can't say anything with certainty except that you have pushed beyond the normal boundaries of CentOS with the source install, probably done as root, and that you seem to have some sort of network/DNS issues. Is "stock.ovh.net" familiar to you?

Pretty good start on a HowTo if you figure out the remaining bits.

In the end I gave up.
It's much too complex for me and I will have to learn more before trying installing RED5 again.
stock.ovh.net is my server.
I did everything as root. Was it a bad idea ?
By the way I noticed a command I didn't type, something like : usermod -p FTGCxdEdRf root
So I re-installed the whole system and secured the server.

I will ask a server management company to install RED5.

Thank you ! :)

Building software, either SRPM packages (generally preferred) or tarballs, as root is a bad idea, as is in general doing anything that does not require root powers. It is best to build as a normal user and only install as root.

Finding strange commands that you did not run in the root history is definitely worrisome. Good luck, and hope you can find someone competent to do what you need at a reasonable price. Seems like you were getting pretty close, even if some of the methods were not quite optimal.
