Moving Harddrive

I recently installed CentOS on a spare harddrive I had laying around. I'm now looking to move that same harddrive to another pc, but that pc doesn't have a dvd reader so I can't just reinstall the OS. Is there some way I can "repair" the installation once the harddrive is hooked up to the new motherboard or is reinstalling my only available option?

Unless the hard drive controllers use different drivers, it should boot.
If not, you may need to borrow a USB DVD reader, boot in rescue mode,
and run mkinitrd.

I moved the hard drive this morning and can't get it to load up now. I get an error saying "error loading operating system". Is this something that I could fix by getting that usb reader and running mkinitrd?
