Centos 5.11 and a PERC H330?

Post by imnotorginal » 2015/08/13 22:23:17

Hello everyone, I was recently trying to install Centos 5.11 on a new Dell R430 server with a PERC H330 raid controller. When I boot to the CD, I am unable to see the hard drives connected to the PERC. Is there any way to inject and raid controller drivers into the installation media to be able to use this controller? Please let me know if you need any more details. Thank you!

You know that CentOS 5 has only a little more than a year of life left? Is there a good reason why are you installing CentOS 5?
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
