Re: Realtek RTL8168/8111 NIC
You're welcome. :-D
Re: Realtek RTL8168/8111 NIC
I could say this issue is also in Gagibyte 990FXA UD5 too, CentOS-6.4 shows all is working (ifconfig could show IP address, lspci -v show fine, ping local IP address has respond) but however could not ping any outside of the box, I already downloaded the latest driver and compile it and show loaded r8168 driver, however not work !!!
This 8111E Realtek chip is released over a year and I could not think why CentOS still problem for support this, but strange is even official Realtek driver also could not work.
Remark: I plug an 2 port PCI Express LAN card into the box and the network work immediately, so stupid Realtek driver support in Linux.

I suggest you have a look at:
http://elrepo.org/tiki/tiki-index.php
This is a repository of hardware drivers for enterprise linux - and is very well supported with new drivers.
All my problems went away when i found elrepo.
The elrepo community and the centos community seem to overlap.
Richard.
