CentOS 5.7 iptables and NAT config problems
Re: CentOS 5.7 iptables and NAT config problems
I have split your post away from the thread to which you posted as it was more than 4 years old.
First, you need to yum update that server ASAP. 5.5 is ancient (31 March 2010) and absolutely riddled with exploitable security bugs. That's nearly 6 years old! You should not put a 5.5 server anywhere near the internet!

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

I would also add that since CentOS 5 is now only a little over a year away from retirement, if you are deploying a new service then it might be wise to deploy it on a newer version with a longer remaining support lifetime.
