CentOS openssh is openssh-4.3p2-82.el5
If you have 5.2, you didn't get it from CentOS.
Need to upgrade to openssh 6.2 +

ok I'll try removing it - one problem I need to fixi asap is I need to get back up to 5.2 of php and this is not working

Hello,
The solution is to email the service who run the PCI with a screen shot of SSH showing that yum update OpenSSL version # yum openssl -v along with the server information such as "this is a Centos 6" server
You can also use WHM > "Security Center" > "Host Access Control" to hide the SSH access to your office IP address (you can still login via WHM to change this IP when need be)
