Installing an AIR application

Post by Ivanhoe » 2010/07/22 15:35:41

Hi everyone,

I need to install an Adobe AIR application on a dedicated CentOS server.

Server does not have any remote desktop tools.

Before installing the application I have to install Adobe AIR first.

Is this possible to do via SSH?

If yes - please post some links, ideas or any guidance.

Thank you in any case

Assuming your system is 32-bit, then perhaps the following may be appropriate --
wget http://airdownload.adobe.com/air/lin/download/latest/adobeair.i386.rpm
sudo rpm -Uvh adobeair.i386.rpm
Please note that I have not tested the above. I have posted it purely as an example. There is no guarantee that the rpm package will be appropriate for CentOS.

Perhaps others would care to comment?

Hello Alan,

Thank you for the answer and welcome words :)

I will try to install the AIR shortly.

However my bigger concern is how to install the custom AIR application

Any ideas on that?

Thank you in any case
