I've never hosted a website before at all. I have experience using centos as my vps uses it for my minecraft server. I understand centos is a really good distro for a web server but I have no clue where to begin. I've searched for hours but I only get a few results and I don't know whether or not those are the best ways to go with this. So basically I'm asking what is the best way to host a website with on a vps with centos 5.4 installed on it? Is there a guide somewhere? Should I use webmin? I'll definitely take the time to learn any other complex methods but I just need to know where to begin with. From your guys' experience can you tell me where I should get started?

I'm just having trouble finding a good source for learning up on how to host a website with centos. If I had a source I'd be set but it is impossible finding some good documentation.

1. Update to 5.8 with a "yum update"
2. We don't recommend howtoforge for anything.
3. Read the installation and deployment guides:
