You don't say what ATI driver version you installed, nor where you got it. I'd boot to runlevel 3 and restore the old xorg.conf as a first step.

Hi pschaff,

Driver is downloaded from oficial site of ATI for video card: ATI Radeon 4xxx series.

Before to receive you email with advice, to restore my old configuration, I copied in folder of X11 the original files xorg under the last file using cp option.

Hi pschaff ,

Using command cp from terminal, I copy the original version of xorg.conf-0 under the file xorg.conf. I made this and I after reboot my mouse indicator reapear on m desktop and how I read from internet, in this manner I return my display to original look. But when I verified if is still installed ATI driver I observed that remain installed, but when I want to acces it , apear an error which send me that is not activated.

So, my question is, if is activated I cant see on my desktop the mouse indicator, and I cant settup ATI driver, when is deactivated I can see mouse indicator but I cant settup ATI driver because is not activated. What must to do to make it work ?

Thank you in advance for any ideea sugestion or opinion which can help me .

Best regards.

I would suggest using an ATI package installed from the ELRepo repo rather than the one downloaded from the manufacturer.
