Oracle 11gR1 Won't Automatically Start After Reboot

Post by Niniel » 2008/05/25 15:32:01

Hello,

I installed 11gR1. Everything is configured and tuned. However, I cannot get the database server to automatically start after reboot. Having installed 10g several times, I assumed there was something different about 11g so I followed two sets of instructions very carefully but no dice.

Am I overlooking something? Any help would be appreciated.

Solved.

I had to explicitly set ORACLE_HOME_LISTNER=/u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1 in dbstart. Weird, since $ORACLE_HOME is set in /etc/profile.
