Updating environment variables

Post by K0mA » 2011/07/01 11:16:31

Hi,

Do you know a way instead of logout and login to update the envrinoment variables of a centos system?
For instance something like env-update in gentoo.

Centos 5
I think the version of the centos doesn't but I 'll post it for completion.

Thanks.

Updating environment variables

Welcome to the CentOS fora. Please see the recommended reading for new users linked in my signature.

Presumable you mean the environment variables for a user. It depends on where you have made changes. If in .bashrc, for instance, then "source .bashrc". I don't know any general way to update everything except to log out and back in.
