Welcome to the CentOS fora. Please see the recommended reading for new users linked in my signature.

Thats an original CentOS-5.7 kernel. There have been several subsequent updates. The current version is kernel-2.6.18-274.3.1.el5. If updating the kernel and all other errata packages does not help then please show relevant error entries from /var/log/messages, as well as providing more information about your system by running "./getinfo.sh driver" and showing us the output file.
