Does CentOS 4.7/4.8 support AHCI of Intel H67?

Post by sanderschen » 2011/04/07 08:04:18

I'm using a motherboard of ASUS P8H67. it's a Intel H67 Express chipset.

Then I installed CentOS 4.7/4.8, I got no HDD message when I installed it. I checked my BIOS(EFI) and changed the SATA mode from AHCI to RAID. I installed it again. It's ok.

Does CentOS 4.7/4.8 support AHCI of Intel H67? (I known that can run on AHCI of ASUS P5P43TD Pro.)

Any suggest?

Thanks.

Don't have any idea what you mean by "CentOS 4.7/4.8" It is one or the other. Your test seems to indicate a problem with AHCI support.

Try 5.6. 4.x is nearing end of life anyway.
