Mouse no work

Post by changlinn » 2005/03/27 00:11:51

I have a Logitech m-bj69 optical mouse plugged into a kvm plugged into my CentOS box, and strangely enough this mouse doesn't work during the anaconda install or in X but strangely enough it worked in that startup config bit after the initial boot. It works straight away in fedora core2 during the install.
Unfortunately I am at a loss, there are no drivers for this mouse on the logitech website and I would really like to get CentOS running on this pc.

seems to have been fixed by switching ports on the kvm, strangely the port still works fine on a different pc/os

I assumed it was fixed a little to early meethinks. If I switch consoles I get an error repeatedly come up
"psmouse.c bad data from KBC"
I have tried restarting the mouse with /etc/rc.d/init.d/gpm restart at a console already opened in the gui to no avail, I found this on it http://lists.osdl.org/pipermail/kernel-janitors/2005-March/003687.html , but am not sure what to do from this instructions, is this a script they reckon I should run.
