dhclient default route configuration help required

Post by immo_we » 2007/09/14 08:51:05

Hello,

I have a CentOS4.4 System.

This contains 2 network cards with several Vlan based Ethernet Interfaces.

Each is reuuired for some tasks but only on is definitly the default gateway. But for all the DHCP Server is configured to provide a router as an option inside the lease.

Now the situation is coming that some times the lease is updated/requested and the default Gateway is rewritten to a wrong Ethernet IF.

I would like to specify somewhere that i accept Default Routes only on this Interface.

My first Idea was to use the DefaultDev Option of the ifcfg file but it seems not to work.

How i can do this ?

Gentoo know the config file for each DHCP configured Interface but for CentOS ?

Did you happen to find a resolution to this? I am experiencing a similar problem and I have been unable to find a solution...
