No XDMCP section in gdm.conf

Have installed 4.5 and am trying to connect with XDMCP. User connects but then slows to a crawl until freezing usually about a minute into session. When I checked the gdm.cong file there was no section for XDMCP which I would normanlly see in earlier sections. How does this version handle this type of connection.

Do you really want to use xdmcp? Have you looked at FreeNX?
