Start Daemon Automatic

Post by kingmallow » 2009/01/02 16:01:32

Hello,

Each time my server restarts I have to go though the ssh connection and type in

/home/folder1/folder2/bin/zopectl start

in order to start my Zope instance that is located in folder2. Lately for some reason the server has been rebooting itself quite often and we are not always on top of whether our zope instance is running or not. I've tried to figure out how to boot it automatically but all I find when I search for zope and linux is makeshift shell files that I don't know how to use and that require "customization for your own distribution"

Is there a simple way that I can just type that line somewhere so that it would just run and I don't have to worry about it anymore?

Please consider adding the line

/home/folder1/folder2/bin/zopectl start

to your /etc/rc.d/rc.local file.
