YUM problems

Post by muro230 » 2009/04/17 01:05:13

I'm having some problems with "yum", look:

[root@g2k_3909 yum]# yum update
using ftp, http[s], or file for servers, Aborting - es/5/i386
[root@g2k_3909 yum]# using ftp, http[s], or file for servers, Aborting - es/5/i386

Not only with update, with everything, my idea is deletle and install mysql back, i think it isn't well installed.

¿Any idea?

YUM problems

Hard to say - not much info here, but you obviously have a yum problem. You may or may not have a mysql problem - don't see the connection - except to http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?viewmode=flat&topic_id=19724&forum=41

You also are using something that is showing .../5/i386 implying CentOS 5, but you are posting in a CentOS 4 forum.

Try adding "-v" and/or "-d" to yum, provide output of "rpm -q yum kernel centos-release", and report back. Seems most likely to be a yum configuration issue.

Did you read the Broken Vserver link you were given in the other thread?
