Basic Firewall Rules

Post by bwiechman » 2007/07/31 13:41:12

I'm running a dhcp server on my CentOS 4 box. I ran setup and enabled the firewall and set up a customized access list including dhcp:udp. However whenever I enter setup again and take a peek at my customized rules that entry is missing. Any others I have added remain, and it doesn't seem to matter where I place it in the list.

There isn't some kind of default rule added for dhcp that is causing that entry to be dropped is there? Why would that entry be missing upon subsequent updates to the rules?

Try replacing dhcp with port number (67 if I remember correctly)
