Login problem

Post by yamanx » 2008/05/07 15:07:22

I'm at Vocational school and we've got CentOS 4.3 on a A+ machine with Cisco CallManager software on it. But someone changed the login name and password.

It may be the default, I don't know what that is.

Could someone tell me the default and how someone could reset the login.

Thanks,
Geoff

You can try booting into 'Single-User' mode.

http://www.centos.org/docs/4/4.5/System_Administration_Guide/s1-rescuemode-booting-single.html

Then just use the 'passwd' command to change root's password.
