Does anyone have experience with changing a mirrored array to a riad 5 array with minimal downtime? I have a live server with 3 spaces for HDD. 2 are filled with 73 GB & I currently have 18 GB in the other as a disk-based backup tool for user accounts.
I would like to install another 73 GB drive where the 18 GB drive is, and convert the mirror to a raid 5 configuartion.
The current mirror is hardware raid, as I would like the Raid 5 set to be.
Anyone have any clues about how to reliably tackle something like that with a minimum of downtime?
