Installing Cent OS 4.4 x86_64 driver errors, NEWBIE

Post by murphyb » 2007/03/12 23:14:40

I am trying to install Cent OS 4.4 x86_64 on an Asus Motherboard P5LD2-VM. Intel 945G ICH7, 4SATA +2IDE.

Put in the CD and it boots.

Asks for a language >> English
Asks for a keyboard >> US
Installation method >> Local CDROM

and then it comes up with No driver found.

the options are to select driver, use a driver disk and back.

i have tried every driver i can select and it doesn't work. I tried googling and found what I thought might be a driver for the 945G but can't make that driver work either. I can't get past this page.

Funny thing is Cent OS was used on this motherboard last year and we don't recall having so many problems getting it installed in the first place. This is the only Linux machine we have right now and would love to make it work, Please help me out.

In the the system's BIOS and try setting/changing from IDE to ACHI
