CentOS 4.4 mozilla-nspr-1.7* RPM

Post by ramindeja » 2007/07/30 23:37:24

Hi,

I have a CentOS 4.4 dedicated server hosted by Media Temple. Over the past few days I'v been trying to install the Adobe's Flash Media Server. This application has a dependency on mozilla-nspr-1.7* package. I did not complete the version number because I could not find the proper package for a CentOS 4.4, this is what I mistakenly used mozilla-nspr-1.7.6-1.2.5.i386, a Fedora version.

I would greatly appreciate a hint on where to get this package, I guess a newer version wouldn't matter.

Thanks a lot.

mozilla was replaced by seamonkey in CentOS 4.4. There is a mozilla-nspr rpm for CentOS 4.3.

http://vault.centos.org/4.3/os/i386/CentOS/RPMS/mozilla-nspr-1.7.12-1.4.2.centos4.i386.rpm

This may or may not work for you but you might want to give it a try.

Thanks a lot for the response.

Do you know which seamonkey package (CentOS 4.4) is equivalent to that of mozilla package (CentOS 4.3)?

Cheers,
Ramin.

I presume seamonkey in C4.4 is newer than mozilla in 4.3. So, there may not be any equivalency between the two.
