Notifications via e-mail?

Newbie Question:

Right now when I subscribe for notifications for a thread they go my Private Messages inbox on the site, but not to my actual e-mail address. I've verified my e-mail address in my profile. I've also checked my spam folder and verified they aren't getting trapped there. Is notifications via e-mail an available feature on this board, and if so is there something else I need to do to enable them?

Your expectation is how my notifications work: I get an email when I request/select to be notified at the bottom of each post.

Try changing your account settings for "Notification Method: When you monitor e.g. a forum, how would you like to receive notifications of updates?" to Disable and then back to Email.

Ah, thank you! I totally missed that setting. Sure enough it was set to Private Message.
