Cannot retrieve password - Confirmation email never sent

Post by quality » 2009/08/17 12:58:24

Hi
I had another old account [farag] which I tried to retrieve the password for,
but since this function [Lost your Password] seems not working I registered this new account days ago
to be able to get answers for some urgent problems.

Would an administrator here check that for me, and fix it ASAP?

Thank you

Could you email me your original username and the e-mail address you registered with? My e-mail is toracat centos.org .

Really appreciate your quick help! :-D

I just sent them via both the old and this account's emails, with subject line:

I am glad you mentioned it here. Just checked my Spam folder and they were both there. This seldom happens, so wonder what caused the filter to think they were spam.

Anyway I will look into your request now.

:-)
In fact, I thought first to PM an administrator here..
but, as I 'did not' get the confirmation.., even after I sent a reply to the original confirmation message..to overcome any filter..
it is then a possible bug!

Moreover, I used the 'contact webmasters' form here , no reply too.

Hope everything becomes OK with these forms.

Again, thanks for your very attention!

We (forum moderators) do not receive requests sent through the 'contact webmasters'. At this moment, the best way to contact us is to shout in the forums or send us e-mail directly.

By the way, I did reply to your mail about 40 min ago. Could you confirm that you received it?

Yeah!
I got it!
Really appreciate your attention and work!

I replied by asking just to change the email address to my own .org one.
and proposed - if this is possible - to make it like that, changeable through the user CP to all users.
I can happily file a bug for that if that needs it ;-)

RE webmasters' communication: why not just leave a notice on that page saying that you can only answer through the forum? that saves time and help all parties :-)

regards

Some of the moderators will remove the account due to violating the forums rules.
