Own actions:
I have set notifications for the two threads where I thus far have posted as "Notify me of new posts in the current thread" and "Notification method is: private message". I set these notifications before anyone had answered in either thread. I can see both notification settings listed under User Menu / Edit Notifications, and I have not edited those settings since I made them. Both threads are in the "CentOS 6 - Software Support" forum.
Problem:
I have not received any PM notifications, even though there have been multiple posts in both threads, also by others than myself. In fact, User Menu / Check Private Messages simply shows "You don't have any private messages". I would prefer not to change to email as notification method, at least as long as there appears to be some uncertainty about if all email notifications get sent or just some (see link below).
Likely relevant context:
This problem could be identical to the one described in this thread, the OP of which was posted in mid-June: https://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=37805&forum=1&post_id=165110

No PM notifications of new posts in two C6/SW threads since
Still seems broken. I have been using email notifications, which seem to work except for explicitly-generated PMs from other users. Those apparently are routed to the bit bucket.

Is this something that is expected to get fixed in "website 2.0", which I have seen mentioned in a few places, or is/are someone(s) working on a fix for this forum software?

I would hope so, but there have been no recent signs of progress on the new website. I have pinged centos-devel about the issues with the current system.
