Post lost after view of link

Post by dunwell » 2016/01/17 02:55:58

I have lost several posts over time due to a consistent problem. If one makes a post that includes a URL link and then does Preview all looks well. However if one forgets and clicks on the link to test and make sure it is going to the proper place you can not return to the Preview or posting screen. You get an error and if you click on the Back Arrow and select the post screen you can not go back just one step, you can only go back to the initial empty post screen, all entry is lost. Even knowing about this I sometimes forget and lose all my work  . I do know about saving drafts but that is not really an option because one needs to _remember_ to save a draft and if you remember that you will remember to not click the link, right?

I looked around and I do not see any sort of options in any of the setting I could find that allows you to have something like a auto-save such as one would have in a word processor. Is there any such setting or other procedure, other than not being a dope, that will allow one to recover from going out to a link and trying to get back to the post?

Who needs Preview? :D Seriously, since you can edit, just don't use Preview.

Just my 2c...
