After centos7 latest kernel update from 3.10.0-693.11.1.el7.x86_64 to 3.10.0-693.11.6.el7.x86_64 is slowing Apache Ambari Components installation process and starting process.

Yes, it does.

This kernel is the one that fixes the Intel "Meltdown" vulnerability and you can expect it to be slower than previous ones as that's the only way to fix the security problems they have.

Thanks for the info. Is there anyway to increase the performance of Ambari components installation on this kernel?

@bonedome -> the article explains how to disable the patches that fix Meltdown and Spectre Vulnerabilities.
I wouldn't recommend that, but if the machine is well protected or offline - then you can decide to switch off any of the patches.
