kpatch in centos 7 ? kernel updates without rebooting?

Post by _ck_ » 2014/07/13 02:10:19

I think RHEL7 has kpatch, yes?

Does this mean CentOS 7 has kpatch too and can optionally do (minor) rebootless kernel updates if someone makes the packages for it?

[root@centos7 ~]# yum list kpatch
Loaded plugins: changelog, langpacks, priorities, versionlock
Installed Packages
kpatch.noarch 0.1.2-1.el7_0 @updates
No data for it to work on (yet).
CentOS 6 will die in November 2020 - migrate sooner rather than later!
CentOS 5 has been EOL for nearly 3 years and should no longer be used for anything!
