How to use IP blocklists in Centos? Compile PeerGuardian pls

Post by Ian » 2014/07/19 20:20:24

[I am a linux noob. Also posted this question in Centos 6 as many people still use that.]

I was using OpenSuse before, and now want to switch to Centos. Could have chosen Ubuntu, but it uses far greater hardware than OpenSuse and Centos.
PeerGuardian is not compiled for Centos anymore, according this site: http://sourceforge.net/projects/peergua ... n%20Linux/
So, how do we use those urls of blocklists to block IPs in this OS?

Someone on that forum seems to have an idea: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1086664
Someone please lay down a comprehensive detail of how that guy would have done it using Iptables.

OR please compile peerguardian and put in centos repository.
