CentOS 7 performs very poor in a kvm virtual machine
As title says, opening applications is slow, there is a lot of mouse lag, etc. When running game servers such as Minecraft, it performs worse than on a Debian 6 system (both centos 7 and debian 6 are fresh installs). I dont know what can be done to make performance better but something needs to happen otherwise Centos and rhel adoption is going to decline once Centos 6 stops being supported (which I know is still a long while from now). I have also noticed idle ram usage is about 200mb than CentOS 6, around 600mb on CO7 where as on CO6 it used to be around 400mb. I am suspecting this is all from GNOME 3? Is there something such as compositing thats enabled that I can turn off?
