How to make Term link on desktop?

I am trying to find a way to put the term app icon on my desktop.... can someone please tell me how

Well the way I do it is to use gnome-tweak-tool, and Desktop -> Have file manager handle the desktop. Then all your .desktop files are in /usr/share/applications. Copy what you want from there to ~/Desktop and you are good to go. Also, any custom .desktop entries can go there or ~/.local/share/applications.
