Gnome slow(er) unlock time

Post by martibs » 2015/06/02 14:35:26

Hi everyone, I'm new on this forum.

I recently switched to Centos 7 from Fedora 21 on my workstation, mainly to get more familiar with Red Hat 7. As always when switching distros, there were a number of issues, but nothing serious, and most I could resolve. There is one thing that is bugging me, however, and that is the 'unlock time' on the Gnome desktop, that is, the time it takes from you type in your password on the lock screen and hit enter, until you actually gain access to the desktop. On my Fedora 21 installation, this was lightning fast, and it's the same on Centos, however after waking the computer from suspend, it takes over 5 seconds to unlock. Obviously this is not a major issue, I just wonder if anyone knows what causes this delay?

Same issue with slow unlock for me, too:
