Cannot login with the new user-Centos7

I created a new user for sftp access and have set the password.

When I login using Filezilla/Putty as admin the connection is successful; however when I use the new user credentials, the connections aborts.

Please give your thoughts. I'm not an expert.

This is a CentOS 5 forum.
Which are you running?

Did you also create ssh keys for the new user?
Can you login as that user on the console?
