I think it would install on that and probably run though run might be a bit of an overstatement, perhaps "stroll" would be more accurate. If you can find more RAM then you'd see better results.
You might want to check out the fork of nagios called icinga. There is icinga 1 which is just a fork with bug fixes and some new features and there is a icinga 2 which is more of a rewrite and uses differnt syntax but is much more efficient and less prone to bottlenecks than nagios/icinga1. I'm currently running icinga2 on a single core CentOS 6 VM with 1GB RAM and doing 1255 checks on 129 devices every 1 minute. That compares with the nagios machine that it replaced that did fewer checks on fewer machines every 5 minutes and used about the same amount of resources. My VM has no GUI as there's no point for a monitoring server (or many others either really).

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Oh okay, if not im going to use centos minimal with no GUI, just in console, this is better dont?, oh icinga sounds good, it have a hard configuration comparate with nagios?
Re: What is the requeriments of Centhos with Gnome GUI
Icinga 1 should be completely compatible with nagios I believe. Icinga 2 uses a different configuration entirely but there are utilities to help convert from one to the other though I've never used them.
Running without a GUI should definitely reduce resource requirements.
