Installation Problem

Hi,

I've just downloaded the CentOS 7 ISO and burned it to DVD. When I boot to the DVD I'm presented with the options Install CentOS 7, Test the media and install CentOS 7 or Troubleshooting.

I select the Install CentOS 7 option, but the screen goes blank and nothing happens, after short while the DVD stops spinning.

I'm trying to install the OS on to an old Dell Inspiron 6400. It has 1GB of memory, which I know is the minimum, but just want a text based installation so I can practice my command line skills.

I've downloaded the Minimal ISO too but get the same results.

Wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction.

At the "boot:" prompt, type "linux text" (without the quotes, then press Enter). That should get you to the text-mode install program.
