Trouble installing Centos 7

Post by chasep255 » 2015/09/16 00:52:10

I am trying to install centos 7 from a USB drive. At first I tried doing it off of a CD but I kept getting an error about the linux kernel not being loaded. Then I tried it with the flash drive. The install hangs on the following screen. I have an nvidia gtx 960 graphics card and an intel i7 cpu.

Use the basic video option under the bottom boot option when you first see the menu asking if to install CentOS. You probably need to use either bumblebee or the nvidia binary drivers from ELRepo once you are installed.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
