verbose system actions?

Post by ClaeD » 2017/04/27 10:10:07

Hi everyone, first post here & to kick it off it's great noob question.

i've recently installed centos7 minimal, just 1 small detail i didn't realise when doing this.

i'm use to getting a print out of what is happening when i run something like systemctl start nginx or shutting down the system, i would see a list of actions being performed. however with this minimal install i'm not sure what i need to install to enable this functionality.

If someone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. i'm use to using standard installed where this is enabled by default.

i've attached a screenshot of what i'm talking about incase i havn't been very clear. Thanks

Do you mean what you get when you remove rhgb quiet from the kernel command line?
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
