CentOS 7.2 super slow at startup

Post by AhrimanSefid » 2017/05/18 20:13:04

hi all.
me install CentOS in dedicated server info :

CPU :E3-1245
HDD:6TB HDD
CentOS 7.2 minimal - only 64 bit
RAM 32GB

but today it took a 30-60 minutes and I got pretty worried thinking it would not boot anymore  .

And yum update - 7.3 has been out now for 6 months and there's pretty much no excuse to be on 7.2 still.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
