Installing CentOS to Windows laptop - not enough space

Post by smatsushima1 » 2017/05/21 22:23:45

I'm trying to install CentOS onto an old Thinkpad via USB and so far got everything working until it said I didn't have enough space to install it on my 300 gb hard drive:

I clicked on "Automatically configure partitioning" and checked the box "I would like to make additional space available" to try and reclaim some space:

I'm left with this list of partitions that I can delete to free up space for installation:

So my question is: am I right to assume that I should delete all these sda files/drives (?) anyway since I'm trying to create a whole new OS, and that installing CentOS will create new partitions anyway? I'm not concerned with saving any data from the laptop since I bought the laptop from a guy on craigslist specifically for the purpose of having a Linux laptop.
