Can`t find grub.conf
Can`t find grub.conf
I`m on CentOS 7.3 and need to install the latest kernel, but I can`t find "grub.conf" anywhere. How do I set up a boot configuration? Thanks!
Re: Can`t find grub.conf
/boot/grub2/grub.cfg

Re: Can`t find grub.conf
CentOS 7 uses grub2 which uses grub.cfg not grub.conf. It can be in one of two different places depending whether your system uses UEFI or Legacy BIOS. For legacy BIOS it's always in /boot/grub2/grub.cfg but for UEFI it is under /boot/efi somewhere. Run find /boot -type f -name "grub.cfg" and you should find it.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
