* I have configured a 'Static IP' for the centos 7 system.
* This IP had been observed to be recognized by the system only when the 'link' is present.
* When removing the nic cable link, the 'ifconfig' returns no IP address at all. when reconnecting, IP comes up if ifconfig output.
* Need to be resolved, because an application needs the static IP address to be present even though the network cable isnt connected.
