Permission denied on Console Login

Post by nembulus » 2017/06/23 17:10:13

Hi,

I got some permission denied when login to my Centos 7 Server with root account.
I'm sure my password is correct, somehow i could not login.
Any solution ?

Regards,
Franky

Check your keyboard mapping is correct. Make sure no-one is behind you watching over your shoulder then type your password at the user prompt so that you can see the characters it produces in case they do not match the keys on your keyboard.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Was this a fresh install? If you selected to use a security profile during install and did the install offline, you may be affected. This does not affect all the profiles, only some of them. If this was a fresh install which has not been used at all, the easiest way to fix this is probably a reinstall.
