How to disable 'Application Installer' automatic updates?

I installed yum-cronie and yum-cron, and set 'update_messages = no', 'download_updates = no', then started crond and yum-cron services.
When I logged in Gnome Desktop again, the "Application Installer" always alerted me to update.
How can I shut the "Application Installer" updates down?
Don't yum-cron and "Application Installer" syncronized?
What can I do now?
