Screen shut off issue with Centos 7

Post by shivaninov10 » 2017/06/29 06:01:30

Hi Team,

We use centos 7 operating systems in our systems and use the IPC647D systems for the project.

Issue Description : We have a multimonitor setup with one primary monitor { Make : EIZO } and one touch monitor { Make :ELO}. We have two application windows to be launched where things works as gracefully as expected , like one main window goes to primary screen and the other to the secondary touch monitor.

What is happnening here is, when i just press the power button of the primary monitor , the graphics of the primary monitors comes to the touch monitor , while the same is done on the touch monitor it behaves as expected, means it just shuts the screen but does not move the graphics completely.

Am not sure where what settings are to be done. This graphics controller on centos 7 doesnot show up any of the xorg files where i can do some changes, also tried creating one but has no effect.

Do we have any options with xrandr so that i can set this option.

Following is the graphics card information for the same.

hi all,

I got the fix for this issue.

We were connecting our displays with the DP cable to the DP port of the machine. DP cables has this feature that whenever the monitor connected to it is just powered off , it brings down the monitor entirely.

So in order to avoid this, we used a DP to DVI converter and a DVI cable to the monitor.

Thanks
Shivani
